  1. Good for you that you found happiness and a life you really enjoy. I grew up in West Kelowna after moving from Vancouver and never really found a life there, wasn’t sure if it was just it being a small town that made it difficult to have a social life, but I never found it was easy to make real friends there that wouldn’t talk shit behind your back for no reason and were always finding a reason to dislike you. Glad to know I wasn’t the only one, though I’ve heard from several people that Kelowna and the surrounding areas is a difficult place to find friends and is very cliquey. Not much of a life living there for me either unfortunately.

Hey!! It’s so nice to hear from you! I totally understand. Moving from Vancouver to West Kelowna would be hard af. I actually lived near Rose Valley for most of my life, and when I was 17 I moved into Kelowna thinking it would be better, but honestly, it’s pretty much the same vibe 😂 The Westside is especially hard because everyone knows everyone. I went to MBSS, so I know how that whole high school dynamic can follow you around. (Literally only one high school in the whole town) It can be really difficult to find genuine friendships when everything feels so cliquey, and people seem to have an opinion about everyone. I think a lot of people who grew up in the area can relate to that feeling. It’s so important to find a place where you feel like you can actually be yourself and build a life you love!
